Spa Force
With her strong background in Hawaiian massage, aromatherapy and
ayurveda, Brenda Ramen was invited to come to the Spa at The Villas
to train its therapists, but says it has been her that has been re-trained
and transformed by the Balinese way of living. I came to transfer
knowledge, not to change the culture, she says marvelling about the
way Balinese people will not let anything, particularly work, interfere
with their ceremonies and rituals.
Favourite Treatments
A luxurious treatment called Esthetic, which includes a herbal
milk bath, an aromatherapeutic massage, a scrub, body polish
and facial. Other favourite services include Japanese shiatsu,
Indian reflexology, and an enriched-milk scrub and body polish.
The sauna with hot and cold plunge pools is also popular.
I have a strong background in natural therapies, which is beneficial
to both my work and life. I try to keep the ingredients of
our spa treatments as authentic as possible. This is important,
as the natural environment embodies the spirit of the land. |
