Prana has moved and expanded its reception lounge, providing a large, tranquil area for guests while keeping the exotic Moghul-inspired style that recently won us the Spa Asia award for Best Spa Design.

The new reception is located next to our yoga and pilates studio, directly opposite the original reception on the second level. The original reception area will be converted into a deluxe spa room, where couples can enjoy private treatments and herbal baths in a romantic, luxurious atmosphere, accompanied by canapés and champagne. The renovation provides more relaxation space for guests as well as an expanded reservations department in the back office to handle all bookings discreetly and efficiently.

“We know that first impressions count, and Prana is dedicated to engendering a soothing, therapeutic atmosphere from the moment guests arrive at reception, until after they leave in a Nirvana-like state,” said Spa Coordinator Sascha Hansen.

“The upgraded reception area provides a supreme level of comfort for guests to peruse our spa menu and await their treatments with a cup of freshly-brewed herbal tea, or relax afterwards before they enter the ‘world' again.”

A centerpiece of the reception is a spectacular Moghul palace-style display of Prana's signature spa products available for purchase by guests, including Earl Grey, Ginger Zest and Tangerine & Lime lotions, Herbal Eye Tea, Herbal Bath Bags, Javanese Massage Oil, Rainshower Seasalt Scrub, and a range of soaps.

The elaborate style of the new reception is in harmony with Prana's award-winning design, inspired by the legendary Moghuls of Rajasthan and complemented by rustic Moroccan decor. The décor is characterized by rich red and gold tones and Middle Eastern archways, vibrantly-coloured carved doors, Kashmir carpets, antique-style furniture, Indian artworks, star-shaped internal windows, and Moroccan light shades. Floor-to-ceiling windows adorned by heavy red curtains provide sweeping views of the outdoor dining area and Prana boutique on the ground floor, set amidst lush tropical foliage.
