2009 has begun in true style at The Villas Bali Hotel & Spa, with a full calendar of events, special offers and new products for our guests. When did you start working at The Villas Bali Hotel & Spa?
I started working at The Villas in 1997, 12 years ago.

You have been working in the Engineering Department for 12 years. What do you enjoy about your job the most?
I have always been interested in engineering, which I studied before I joined the team at The Villas. I enjoy working with electrical projects the most. This has always been my hobby.

For you, what has been the biggest change at the hotel in the last 12 years?
When I started working at The Villas, only seven villas were open and it was not then operating as a hotel. We had a very small team. But then the eighth villa was built and Prana became part of the hotel, followed by The Villas Estate and Sunset in 2001. Now my job scope is more diverse and we have a much bigger team.  

What would you like to develop in your current position?
I would like to develop my management skills more in the hope that I can be promoted to become Assistant Chief Engineering. I hope we are able to add a few more staff to the team in the near future, in order to achieve this.

We are pleased to introduce to you our new Reservations Clerk, Edwin,and our new Operator, Verry. Edwin joins The Villas Bali after working for several years for a travel agency on the island. Verry has been working for several 4- and 5-star resorts as a Guest Personal Assistant and an Operator. We are very proud to welcome them to our team.

Meanwhile, Muliani has been promoted as our new Internal Sales Coordinator. Mul has been working at The Villas Bali since July 2001 and has gained experience over the last eight years in the Food and Beverage, Front Office and Reservations departments.
We are very happy she now joins the Sales Department.
