Please tell me about yourself?
I am 33 years old and started working as a security guard at The Villas Bali Hotel & Spa in the year 2000. Before that I worked in Jakarta for 7 years in an interior factory for cars.
Do you enjoy working here?
Yes, very much. The team here is very close, like a family.
What is important for you in your role as security guard?
At the Villas Bali we are very alert, especially when it comes to security and safety of our guests and we do our best to assist the guests on a daily basis. Just last week we had an incident where one of our guests left her wallet behind in a taxi. As we always check the cars upon arrival and before they leave, we were able to return the wallet.
What else do you enjoy about your job?
To strengthen the team we join the PBB together with the Police in Kuta. This is comparable with the discipline training you receive in a Military School . After that we always play soccer with our team. We also learn first aid, which is very important to enable us to help a guest or a colleague in case of emergency.

The Reef International Surf Team recently visited Bali to have a photo shoot and explored the island for famous surf spots such as Uluwatu.
